Where can I buy drugs?

Non-poisons can be purchased over the counter from pharmacies, supermarkets and other outlets. Examples of non-poison are certain types of pain-killers and stomach tablets.

The sale of poisons, antibiotics and dangerous drugs are subject to stricter control. These can only be sold in places registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.

Where can I buy drugs

Pharmacies who are registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board are authorized to sell poisons provided such sale is conducted in the presence of a registered pharmacist or under his supervision.

"List sellers of poison" refer to persons or entities who, although not being authorized sellers of poisons, are entitled to conduct retail sale of certain type of poisons listed in Part II of the Poisons List at any premises without a registered pharmacist being presence. All such listed sellers of poisons have to be approved by the Board. Some supermarkets are listed sellers of poisons.
