It is the date before which the quality of a pharmaceutical remains acceptable for its intended use. It is predicted from stability tests under general / normal storage conditions or by accelerated stability testing under extreme conditions. Every package of the MSD drugs bears an expiry date.

After the expiry date, there is no guarantee the product can maintain the therapeutic efficacy. Moreover, it may cause harmful effects to the body.
