Dietary Guide For Osteoporosis
e-card
1. Make sure you have a balanced diet.
2. Take plenty of foods that are rich in calcium.
3. Get enough vitamin D from sunlight and foods - it helps your body absorb calcium.
4. Take adequate amounts of meat (200-300 g/day). Too much protein can make calcium loss worse.
5. Take 1-2 pieces of fresh fruit a day, especially oranges, mandarins, grapefruit and kiwi fruit, as they contain a lot of vitamin C and are good for your bones.
6. Limit your intake of salt and preserved foods, such as pickle, salted meat or canned foods, in order to decrease calcium loss.
