Too much "bad" cholesterol (LDL-C) can build up over time and become trapped in the walls of the arteries leading to the formation of plaques. Atherosclerosis develops, which causes blockage of blood vessels.

Clogging of blood vessels can cause:

Coronary heart disease

The narrowing of blockage of the brain artery causes stroke. This can lead to death or a major reason of lack of the ability of work.

 

The narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries reduces the smooth flow of blood and therefore, interferes with the delivery of adequate oxygen supply and nutrients to the heart muscle. This can lead to damage of the heart muscle and even death
