| Asthmatic
patient with poor asthma control or with "exercise-induced asthma"
might experience an acute attack during or after exercise. However,
exercise is actually beneficial to many children with asthma.
Apart from taking preventive medications regularly to keep asthma
under control, you should also discuss with your doctor which
medications your child should take, if any, before exercise
to reduce the chance of having an exercise-induced asthma. Such
medications include short-acting bronchodilators. |
